Olasupo Shasore

Olasupo Shasore is a Barrister and Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He is also an author, historian and recently a documentarian. He wrote and presented the groundbreaking seven-part documentary Journey of an African Colony produced by Quramo Productions that ran for two years on Netflix, recording consistently on the top ten shows viewed. His other books among the Quramo Publishing titles include Possessed: A History of the Crown Colony of Lagos; A Platter of Gold: Making of Nigeria and The King & The Colony all available at www.quramo.com and bookstores across Nigeria and beyond. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Legal History Society of Nigeria. He was Chair of the Lagos History Committee that produced a two-part book, Lagos from Earliest Times, and is a member and Board member of the Lagos Studies Association (LSA), an international interdisciplinary organisation of academic and non-academic practitioners dedicated to increasing knowledge about Lagos and Africa. He was the recipient of the 2021 LSA Distinguished Personality Award. In 2022, he was honoured with The Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) in its inaugural Global Top 100 list (Law & Justice). This present book, Operation Legacy Looting and Losing Africa’s Kingdoms, has inspired a new Documentary called The Loot and The Lost Kingdoms.
