Akintomiwa Akinnimi

Akintomiwa Akinnimi is a graduate of Medicine and Surgery from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State. He has been writing all his life, and his writing mostly consists of think pieces and other works of non-fiction. With his distinct and daring style of writing on Medium and Twitter, he attracted a sizeable number of followers. Despite the high number of followers that he has, his desire to be a published fiction author remained strong. He eventually found the story idea that helped him overcome his procrastination—Looking Glass Bullet. He submitted it for the Quramo Writers’ Prize (QWP) in 2021, and the book won him the best writer’s award. He shares his non-fiction writing through social media platforms while championing the cause of African creativity through the 49th Street, a Pan-African media outlet where he is a pioneering member. He believes in the supremacy of music as a form of artistic expression and releases songs under the alias Louis Hendrixx. Spurred on by the completion of his debut novel, he is excited to convert the many riveting stories in his imaginative mind into more works of fiction.
